SHIMMER PAINT SCRAP PAGE

Hi Ladies, Here is a great technique, it is called Faux Mother-of-Pearl.
SUPPLIES: FROST SHIMMER PAINT
GLAD WRAP, SMALL PIECE SCRUNCHED INTO A BALL
                    GLOSS OR PLAIN CARDSTOCK

Shake paint, open lid and put a small amount onto a plate and dab from there or I just scrunched the gladwrap and put it over the top of bottle and tipped it up to get paint onto gladwrap.  Scrap off excess and dab all over cardstock, leaving some blank spaces.

When dry sponge or brayer light colour ink over cardstock to creat the mother-of-pearl effect.  If you are stamping over it use Black Stazon.

I did this for the card below, but with the scrap pages I used the gold paint on the pink page and silver paint on the blue page and sponged ink over in your colour choice.

I did this twice to get a good coverage with colour and made the paint pop, wipe over with a tissue to get excess ink off.  I also spritz more shimmer paint when I had finished background.  Have fun creating backgrounds.
I love using the French Foliage set, available in the currant mini

I left the middle blank as I knew my photo would cover it

I made my own background paper with a stamp as I could not find any Mambo paper to go with my spritz cardstock. Oh did you see the tree stamp, it is a sneek peek of a set that is coming in Sept.

I used a light pink to colour over paint to make Mother-of-Pearl effect.

Scrapbooking pages - Botanical Gazette

HI Ladies, I just love this Botanical Gazette DSP.  Only a few more weeks left to purchase before it is gone forever.  The other pages have butterflies, bird cages and has a nature feel, it works well with the Nature Walk and French Foliage stamp sets, I can't stop useing them, they work so well together.

The mini finishes 31st July so order now, or wait for 1st July to find out about Stampin Up's new promotion.

Bird cage is non Su product.
I got this idea off my upline, it is great for heaps of photos.
It flips out for more photos.

Till next time Tina
