Creative Elements

This is one of my favourite sets in the new Stampin Up! it is called Creative Elements.  It has a flourish, flower, butterfly, and more.
I used the script background on the base of the card, then the Creative Elements to make the rest of the card
Here I have used the new embossing frame and this lovely new punch, which you can tread ribbon through.
Here are some ATC with this set, I can't wait to make the cards to go with them.  Do you see a common theme?  For those of you that know me you know I love purple and yes we have a new purple to play with in the new incolours.  Not long now and you can order your new products from the New Stampin Up! catalogue from the 1st September.

Using ATC to make cards - New stamp sets

These are some ATC (Artist Trading Cards) 9 x 6.5cm using new products from the upcoming Stampin Up! catalogue, released on 1st September, 2011.
Don't you just love these embossing frames, they come in a pack of 2.  I have highlighted the dots with a marker pen. And I just love this new set Creative Elements. A must have.

here are a few more ATC, it is so much fun creating multiple ATC then making the rest of the card later.
Here I have used the ATC and made a card with it.  So easy.
This is another great new set Pennant Parade, with the pennants you can make pennants of cause, ice creams as above and also trees, as seen above, it comes with 4 different pennants and lots of extras to make fun cards and scrapbooking pages.  You can also purchase a punch that punches out the two sizes of pennants.  I love that.  Can't wait to show you more in weeks to come.

I just love the Love Letters paper, you can use it for so many themes
I also used the Sew Suite stamp set here

I have only just got this paper and just love it, it is great for boys/kids, it is called Celebrations

this is a double layout using the Celebrations paper

Here is another page using the Celebrations paper, and the Make a Monster stamp set.  I used the cupcake punch to make the clouds and the Dot embossing folder to give it some texture.

Here I am in Melbourne at the SU convention with our team shirt on. Another paper I am only just falling in love with is Lap of Luxury.  It is a great simple layout.
so grab these great papers before the go.  Also don't forget Monday 1st August is the start of the retired list,

Z Fold Cards

Hi, These are the cards I am doing in my classes this month. Z Fold cards are easy, just cut your A4 down the middle, portrait orientation. Fold in half then fold the top layer back onto it's self to make the Z.

This is a great Male card, it is your last chance to get this motorbike

Make a collage of stamps to make your background
Use a 12 x 12 to make a larger card.
Have fun and create some Z Fold cards

Make your own background paper

Hi Stampers, I have made my own background paper, I started with a plain Crumb Cake 12 x 12, stamped the flower from Elements of Style with crumb cake ink, I just love this set.
Then I used Versa Mark with the Script Background, stamped one at a time and spooned gold embossing powder, a little over it and tapped off.  I repeated this all over the page, Stamped the clock in Espresso Ink and decorated.
All products are SU except for Flourish Die, I got from a craft show.

Try making your own background papers.

SHIMMER PAINT SCRAP PAGE

Hi Ladies, Here is a great technique, it is called Faux Mother-of-Pearl.
SUPPLIES: FROST SHIMMER PAINT
GLAD WRAP, SMALL PIECE SCRUNCHED INTO A BALL
                    GLOSS OR PLAIN CARDSTOCK

Shake paint, open lid and put a small amount onto a plate and dab from there or I just scrunched the gladwrap and put it over the top of bottle and tipped it up to get paint onto gladwrap.  Scrap off excess and dab all over cardstock, leaving some blank spaces.

When dry sponge or brayer light colour ink over cardstock to creat the mother-of-pearl effect.  If you are stamping over it use Black Stazon.

I did this for the card below, but with the scrap pages I used the gold paint on the pink page and silver paint on the blue page and sponged ink over in your colour choice.

I did this twice to get a good coverage with colour and made the paint pop, wipe over with a tissue to get excess ink off.  I also spritz more shimmer paint when I had finished background.  Have fun creating backgrounds.
I love using the French Foliage set, available in the currant mini

I left the middle blank as I knew my photo would cover it

I made my own background paper with a stamp as I could not find any Mambo paper to go with my spritz cardstock. Oh did you see the tree stamp, it is a sneek peek of a set that is coming in Sept.

I used a light pink to colour over paint to make Mother-of-Pearl effect.
