New Cards

A Special Friend bought me a stamp set and sent it up to me, I had fun playing and this is what I cam up with.

These cards are done using Faux Silk Technique, it is very quick and easy to do and gives great texture to your card. It is a little hard to see on the photos.

The next two are a CASE, one is using paper and the other using Stamps, very quick and easy and you can use your scraps.

This one too is a CASE, I had planned to do it in more colours, but as usual I jump from one project to the next. This is called Faux Tearing, it looks like torn paper but it is a background stamp masked then using a dauber to make the shadow effect.

This card is using Vellum, Embossing & brayering on the back of the vellum. I have also embossed a little on the flower.

These I have embossed and attached ribbon, great for invitations

New Cards - using markers

Some things you can do with Markers:

Colourbook: Stamp line art image in Basic Black ink and colour in the lines with markers.

Watercolor: Touch tip of Blender Pen to tip of the Stampin' Write marker. Begin watercolouring with blender pen. Reapply more ink with marker as needed.

Thumping: Ink a solid stamp image with a light coloured ink. Choose a marker and open the brush tip. Hold the marker like a drumstick and tap or "thump" the brush tip on the solid image. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink, then stamp image.

Ribbon dyeing: Colour Whisper White taffeta ribbon with marker to "dye" in custom Stampin' Up! colours.

Flower dyeing: Colour White paper flowers from Pretties Kit.

Multiple colours on a stamp: use differant colours to colour different parts of stamp, breathe on inked image to remoisten ink and stamp on paper. For more muted watercolour look spritz with water.

As you can see there are so many ways to use the markers, also you can write with the thin end so when you write inside your card it can match the colour card you are working on or do your journalling for your scrapbook pages.

These ones are a CASE from another demonstrators site, using the markers to colour the differant parts of the stamps, I just loved how you could do many colour combinations.

Off The Page

This is a candle I bought from a shop and decorated to give to a friend. It was very easy to do and I recycled a paper bag and stamped it to match the gift.
