I HAVE LOTS OF NEWS
Hi All, I have lots of news for you. The day before I went on our holiday I went to the Stampin' Up! Regional Training day. A few weeks ago I was asked by Stampin' Up! if I would like to do a 5min presentation and do a Workshop Wow. I said yes, so I demonstrated how to alter your ribbon. It was a great day I had most of my downline there and some guest came along too.

I have been experimenting with the ribbon and found if you want to samp a word or image with dye ink it tends to bleed so use STAZON INK.
dye ink bleeds (sorry not a ver good photo)

words or image using Stazon ink
Dye ink using wheel is ok
Use versa mark cartridge, wheel then tip embossing powder over, tip off excess, you may need to blow here and there to get excess off, then heat set, TIP: I use a wooden clipboard to hold my ribbon so I don't burn my fingers, I also use this in my cardmaking when I emboss.
Using Dye ink on twill, great to make male cards.
Here I am showing how to emboss onto ribbon using a single stamp
To do this is the same as if you were doing it onto paper, you can use your emboss buddy and you may still need to blow off the excess or use a thin pain brush. When you use the wheel and emboss I had to blow the excess off more so than when using a single stamped image.
Here I used it on a 12 x 12 page and used the wheel with a Versa mark cartridge.
Here I have used the wheel again with a dye ink cartridge on twill.

This is my Technique book, it is a SU Journal that I keep all my samples in. click on the photo to get a better look at inks I have used on the ribbons.
That night my husband had his end of year work dinner, so I had to rush home and get ready to be back at Bretts Wharf by 6pm, we had dinner on a boat, it was nice to have some husband and wife time going up and down the Brisbane River.
Then on Sunday we could start our holiday at Caloundra. The weather was good, had a few showers of rain, I captured this photo of a rainbow. I took one photo that had two rainbows one above the other but it is a little hard to see if you don't know it is there.

CHALKING
As I mentioned a while ago I have been getting some use from my Cricut machine. I had this white flourish cut out and wanted to use it on my layout, but I wanted to match my colour scheme. So I got my Stampin' Up! chalks out and started chalking. Once I lifted it off my scrap paper it saw this pretty design. So that got me thinking. I did a whole scrapbook page using it as a mask. so quick and easy to do.

New pages & Cards
I made these punch figures a while ago but never made cards with them. My husbands Auntie is here visiting from England and I had to make some cards for my nieces and her kids, teenagers. So this is what I came up with.
I have been doing some scrapbooking for myself, so I have got my Cricut machine out and have been having fun playing with the different cartridges I have
